St. Demetrios Greek Festival: Faith, Family & Community

  • Is there an admission fee? No, admission is free
  • Is this a cash only event? No, we accept cash and credit cards.
  • Parking? Free parking is available on site. We also have two satellite parking areas. One is across the street and the other is at
    Shaw’s Supermarket in the Saco Shopping Center. A free shuttle service will be available from 4PM to 8 PM on Friday and Saturday
  • Can I see the church interior? Our church is open to the public. Guided tours are available, and you are welcome to pray in our church quietly. We just ask that you please be respectful. There is also a bookstore that sells icons and religious books.
  • Any kids activities? Yes, the festival is a family-friendly event, please feel free to bring your kids. We have a play area with activities such as arts and crafts but please be reminded that it is not a babysitting service.
  • How does food ordering work? To buy our entrees you must get in line in the food hall and buy tickets. However, if you would just like to buy a pastry or say a Gyro, you can go directly to those respective stations, no need to buy a ticket. There is also a market that sells Greek food items such as imported Greek olive oil and other Greek products
  • Is takeout available? Yes
  • What entertainment will you have? We have a DJ playing Greek music in the tented area. Also a live band from 4:30 to 8:30 PM on Saturday. Come and dance with us or if you prefer to watch our traditionally dressed dance group: Sons and Daughters of Alexander the Great. We will have two performances:
    Saturday at 4 and 6 PM.
  • Will the festival be open if it rains? We will be open rain or shine.
  • Will the festival have bathrooms? Yes, our church bathrooms will be available for festival guests to use.
  • Are pets allowed? Only service animals are allowed.
  • Is the Festival handicap accessible? Yes, the members of St. Demetrios are always happy to help.
